Golf rules for Weskus Bar | Jackal Creek golf course
- Please consult the notice board for any temporary local and household rules
- Play shall be under the rules of the Royal and Ancient golf club of St Andrews subject to local rules
OUT OF BOUNDS
- Beyond any wall, boundary fence or white stakes defining the boundary of the course (in the case of there being two boundary fences, the inner most fence shall define the boundary)
- The area of the clubhouse and car park beyond the white stakes.
OBSTRUCTIONS (RULE 24 AND RULE 25) AND RELIEF
- One club length in fairway in play (first cut)
- Play prohibited from all young trees identified by a stake, irrigation lines and equipment
- Fence enclosing putting greens (when interfering with stance, lie of ball or line of intended swing), then player may replay shot only if ball strikes any part of fence or supporting structure in line of intended play, not behind putting surface
- For interference from a hole, cast (mole hill), runway made by burrowing animal
only if this interferes with lie of ball or intended swing - From roads and foot paths or from footprints of animals. One club length from nearest point of relief or two club lengths with penalty stroke
WATER HAZARDS AND DROP ZONES (RULE 26)
- All water hazards will be deemed to be lateral water hazards – With one penalty stroke, ball may be dropped at the
point nearest to the point of entry, or as an additional option ball may be dropped in a dropping zone (if present) nearest to where the original ball last crossed the margin of the hazard.
ANY DISPUTE, PLAY SECOND BALL WILL BE RESOLVED IN CLUB HOUSE
